The Urus is Lamborghini’s SUV, and it solves the problem the rest of the fleet cannot: everyone arrives in the same car. three passengers travel together with luggage, in a vehicle that still carries the badge and the presence people expect from the marque.

It is the booking most couples make alongside a supercar. The Huracan or the Spyder handles the arrival shot, and the Urus moves the bridal party, the parents and the bags between the ceremony, the photographs and the reception.

Why Choose the Urus?

A supercar asks something of you when you get out of it. The Urus does not. The seating position sits at roughly hip height, the doors open wide, and there is no low sill to negotiate, which matters when someone is in a fitted gown, heels or a full suit and a photographer is already shooting.

The engine is a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 rather than the V10 in the other two Lamborghinis. Turbocharging changes the character: the response is immediate and the delivery is smoother, which suits a car carrying passengers on a schedule more than it suits a car built around drama.

On the Day

Most Urus bookings run to a route rather than a single arrival. Your chauffeur works from your run sheet, handles the venue-to-venue legs, and keeps luggage, gifts and spare shoes in the car between locations so nothing has to be carried through the day.

How many passengers and how much luggage can the Urus carry?

The Urus has five seats in total. One is occupied by the chauffeur, so three customers can travel together. Behind the rear seats there is enough space for several suitcases or a combination of bags, gifts and a change of clothes, which is why it is usually the vehicle carrying everything for the day.

Is it easier to get in and out of than a supercar?

Considerably. The seating height means you step across into the seat rather than lowering yourself into it, and the four doors mean rear passengers are not climbing past a folded front seat. For anyone in a gown, a fitted suit or heels, this is the practical difference between the Urus and the other two Lamborghinis.

Can a wedding dress travel in the Urus?

Yes. This is one of the main reasons couples book it. A gown can be laid flat across the rear luggage area or kept on a hanger, which is not possible in a two-seat supercar. Many bookings pair the Urus with a Huracan or Spyder so the dress and the bridal party travel in one vehicle and the arrival happens in the other.

The Urus uses a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It is a different engine from the naturally aspirated V10 in the Huracan and Huracan Spyder, with quieter, smoother delivery better suited to carrying passengers.

Is the Urus suitable for airport transfers?
