Fairfield has one of the densest clusters of large high schools in Sydney. Westfields Sports, Fairvale, Bossley Park and Patrician Brothers all sit within a few kilometres of each other, and their formals regularly land on the same weekend.
That is the single biggest thing to plan around here. When four schools of that size book on one Friday, the larger vehicles across the whole south-west are committed weeks earlier than most families expect. Fairfield groups who confirm in September get a choice; the ones who call in November take what is left.
The bookings themselves are usually straightforward. Pickups sit close together, the venue is often the Showground or a Liverpool reception centre, and the run is short. Year 12 groups splitting a limousine is the standard here, and because the legs are short the hours mostly go into pickups and photographs.
