Hurstville is the most vertical area we service. A large share of students here live in apartment towers around the town centre, which means there is no driveway to pull into and no front lawn for the family photographs.
That is the practical thing to sort out before the night. We work out in advance whether the car waits in the building loading zone, at the porte cochere if there is one, or on a side street away from the clearway. Getting that wrong means a sixteen seat vehicle circling Forest Road while a group waits in a lobby.
The venues run the other way. St George formals are often held at waterfront clubs and reception centres toward Sans Souci and Brighton, which are short runs from Hurstville but need the right approach at the door. Year 12 groups splitting one vehicle is standard here, and because the legs are short the hours go into photographs.
